Getting started with dbForge Data Compare for SQL Server: How to save and load data comparison
You can save a data comparison document (a document opened after comparison to display the comparison result) for future use. The saved file has an extension of '*.dcomp' and contains data comparison information, including:
+ Source and destination settings + Compare the selected value of the option + Synchronize the selected value of the option + Schema mapping settings
It does not include data comparison results or objects DDL. When the file is opened, the data will be re-compared. If you cannot find the target or source, the 'New Data Comparison' dialog box will appear, where you can set the source option or target option.
Save the data comparison document.
+ On the File menu, click 'Save' (or 'Save As'). + Right-click the document title and select 'Save' from the menu. + Click the 'Save' button on the toolbar.
Open the data comparison document.
+ Drag it to the interface of dbForge Data Compare for SQL Server. + Click the 'open file' button on the standard toolbar.
